POSITION: Middle School/High School Art Teacher

 

LOCATION: Galesburg-Augusta High School

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Highly Qualified as defined by the Michigan State Department of        

Education

Art (LQ or LZ) Endorsement Preferred

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Middle School and High School Principals

• Provide Art education for Galesburg-Augusta Middle School and High School students.
• Develop lesson plans and appropriate instructional aids using “best practice” strategies.
• Provide opportunities when needed for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
• Evaluate each pupil’s progress using district approved grading systems.
• Communicate with parents via phone calls, emails, notes and Synergy as necessary.
• Positive contributions to the team and willingness to participate in school improvement activities.

 

WAGES: As per GAEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
